What is RF Body Tightening?

RF Body Tightening uses radiofrequency energy to firm and tighten loose or crepey skin on the body by stimulating collagen and elastin production.

How does it work?

Radiofrequency gently heats the deeper layers of the skin to a therapeutic temperature, prompting the body to remodel collagen and elastin for firmer, smoother skin over time.

What concerns does it help with?

Skin laxityPost-weight-loss skinPost-pregnancy skinCrepey textureLoss of firmness

Who is it suitable for?

Clients with mild to moderate skin laxity on the abdomen, thighs, arms or buttocks, including post-weight-loss and post-pregnancy skin.

Who may not be suitable?

RF Body Tightening is not suitable for: pregnant or breastfeeding clients; those with pacemakers or implanted electronic devices; metal implants in or near the treatment area; active skin infections, open wounds or severe inflammation; compromised immune system; severe uncontrolled diabetes; and history of severe burns or radiation therapy in the treatment area.

Clients with severe skin laxity or significant excess skin may not achieve their desired outcome with RF alone — HIFU or surgical options may be more appropriate. Your nurse will assess your suitability during consultation.

What should I expect?

A handpiece delivers comfortable warmth across the area, like a warm massage. Sessions take around 45 minutes.

Preparation

Minimal preparation is needed. Arrive with clean skin on the treatment area — no lotions, oils or skincare. Remove all metal jewellery from the treatment area. Stay hydrated before and after your session. Avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise for 24 hours beforehand. Your nurse will discuss your treatment plan during consultation.

Aftercare

After RF Body Tightening, the skin may feel warm and look slightly pink for a few hours — similar to a mild warmth after exercise. You can return to normal activities immediately. Keep the skin hydrated with a gentle moisturiser. Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF on exposed areas. For 24 hours, avoid hot baths, saunas, intense exercise and skincare containing active ingredients (retinol, AHAs, BHAs) on the treated area.

Visible response varies. A series may be recommended after assessment, with the number, spacing and review points tailored to the treatment area, skin and response.

Downtime & recovery

Temporary warmth, redness or sensitivity may occur. Recovery varies with the area, settings and individual response.

Results

Cumulative — a series of 6–8 sessions one to two weeks apart yields the best firming results.

Individual results vary. No specific outcome is guaranteed. Your registered nurse will discuss realistic expectations during your consultation.

Typical treatment journey

Consultation (assessment and treatment plan) → Individual session schedule if appropriate → Each session 45–60 mins → Temporary warmth, redness or sensitivity may occur → Progress review before maintenance is considered.
