What is Pressotherapy?

Pressotherapy uses a full-body suit that applies rhythmic, sequential compression. At MÜNE it is offered for relaxation and general wellness, not as treatment for lymphatic or vascular disease.

How does it work?

The suit gently inflates and deflates in a wave sequence across selected areas. Pressure and comfort are checked during the session, and suitability is screened beforehand.

What concerns does it help with?

RelaxationGeneral wellnessComfort after selected treatments

Who is it suitable for?

Clients seeking a relaxation-focused sequential-compression session. Health screening determines whether compression is appropriate.

Who may not be suitable?

Pressotherapy is not suitable for: clients with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or blood clots; severe heart conditions or congestive heart failure; acute infections in the legs; severe peripheral artery disease; pregnancy (first trimester — consult your nurse); and active cellulitis or skin infections in the treatment area.

If you have any circulatory conditions, discuss them with your nurse before booking. A brief screening ensures the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

What should I expect?

You relax in the compression suit while it gently massages the body in rhythmic waves. Most clients find the 45-minute session deeply relaxing.

Preparation

No special preparation is required for Pressotherapy. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing — the compression suit is worn over your clothes. Avoid heavy meals immediately before treatment. Stay hydrated. Arrive a few minutes early to get settled and comfortable. Many clients use the 45-minute session to relax, listen to music, meditate or simply unwind.

Aftercare

Pressotherapy is offered as a sequential-compression wellness treatment, not as treatment for lymphatic or vascular disease. Follow your nurse's advice after the session; hydration and light movement may be suggested when appropriate. Individual comfort and response vary.

It may be offered after selected body-contouring sessions for relaxation and general wellness support. It is also included in the Recovery Membership.

Downtime & recovery

Usually little interruption to normal activities, subject to individual comfort, response and your nurse's advice.

Results

The intended experience is comfort and relaxation. No medical, fluid-loss or circulation outcome is promised.

Individual results vary. No specific outcome is guaranteed. Your registered nurse will discuss realistic expectations during your consultation.

Typical treatment journey

Brief health screening → 45-minute fully clothed sequential-compression session → Individual comfort check → further sessions only as appropriate → optional access through the Recovery Membership.
